Water Aid National Ceilidh
Well since I've been busy lately & haven't been posting a lot I thought (seeing as i've got nothing else to post about) I might as well fill you in with some of the things I've been up 2...
Well for 1 on the 18th of October 2008 (yeah i know! long long time ago) It was the Big National Ceilidh In aid of water aid! People all around the world were having 1 big part- **ahem** I mean ceilidh... they were doing ceilidh's in Oxforshire, Bath (you know...the place), London, Leeds, Alston, Barnet, Barrow-in-furness, Alston (oh yeah i already said that 1), & in collages & universitys every where.
but it wasn't just happening in England people were doing water aid ceilidh's on the same day in Africa, Canada, Greenland some people were even having a ceilidh on a train in the midle of nowhere....ok maybe that was falls info of Dylan but still u get the idea right(?)
So any way no one was doing a water aid ceilidh in our aria so f.b.r (if you haven't got it yet f.b.r is my band) decided to do one here! It was great we got a huge place & lots o prizes for people to win! addmitedly we did get other people to do alot of the dancing music but we did a bit 2 & we did some great listening music :-)
at I think it was 10pm every 1 in the world doing a ceilidh for water aid did the same dance at the same time & every one in the room had to do. it It was great (we played for that 1) admittedly we were a bit late running coz Taylor decided to do the raffle. but still...
In the end we made £400 pounds which is enough to make about 6 wells of never ending water (well till all the water in the world is gone) in 6 different villages! which saved over 700 people from dyeing from lack of water! & it'll save their children & their children & their children & their children ,,, ,,,, ,,,,,,, ... .... ........
....well I feel special....
